Editorial on Distinctive Cultural Events – Adventure Travel

“This unique annual event, translated as “Balls of Fire,” draws adrenaline junkies who throw flaming rags at each other. It is believed this tradition began when the volcano El Paypon erupted in the 1600s, sending villagers fleeing from the disaster.”
